Edgar Allan Poe on the big Screen...

From the blog - My Ethereality

Photos online show John Cusack as Edgar Allan Poe ...
And a summary on says:
A fictionalized account of the last days of Edgar Allan Poe's life, in which the poet is in pursuit of a serial killer whose murders mirror those in the writer's stories.
I'm wondering if this is merely an attempt to ride the coat tails... or rather waistcoat tails of Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey, Jr.).

At a Comic Con panel, James McTigue (director) draws comparisons between the film's themes and tones with Misery, Jaws and Se7en - and deals with the last five days of Poe's life.

I can hope and pray that this will be a good film to watch... or at least have some fun looking at the pretty...
costumes, that is.

  1. I am likely to watch it because I like these types of movies. It does seem that it is trying to ride the coattails of Sherlock Holmes.

  2. I love Poe and his works. I will watch that film for sure; Sherlock Holmes been amazing and I hope this one turn as good as Sherlock Holmes.

  3. Poe is a happiness bringer even if he was a really sad poet.
