Happy release day + Contest winner of Sorcery for Beginners by Matt Harry

Author: Matt Harry
Series: N/A
Publisher: Inkshares

Five-hundred years ago, magic began to fade from the world. Combustion engines and computers took the place of enchanted plows and spell books. Sorcerers were hunted almost to extinction. Science became the primary system of belief, and the secrets of spell-casting were forgotten ... until now. Written by arcane arts preservationist and elite mage Euphemia Whitmore (along with her ordinary civilian aide Matt Harry), Sorcery for Beginners is the true how-to manual for returning magic to an uninspired world. It's also the story of Owen Macready, a seemingly average 13-year-old who finds himself drawn into a centuries-long secret war when he uses this book to take on a school bully. But when Owen's spell casting draws the attention of a ruthless millionaire and a secret society of anti-magic mercenaries, he must decide how much he's willing to risk to keep magic alive in the world.

My Review:
When Inksahre (my current favorite publisher) came to me for review, I was thrilled. Indeed, the email title was "For fans of Harry Potter" and the author name is Mr. Harry so the quote "You're a wizard Harry" echoed within my mind. The idea is that I desired to find a new read to capture my senses, which did not happen from ages.

My world changed by the end of the first chapter because it was the most wonderful read since Harry Potter. Magic is restored in my world. Truly, this is a battle between good and evil with all the adventures. I've to congratulate Matt Harry on how imaginative he went with his own world adding to those remarkable notes between rectangles, which gave me the feeling of a real magic guide for young wizards.

I recommend it for readers who are looking for a fun Middle Grade reads with touch magical Education. I'll be getting my hard copy very soon and dive into the magic.

Also as for my contest winner, which is *drum roll*

Happy Reading everyone...

"If Janet Evanovich teamed with a young adult, fairy-tale author like Marissa Meyer (the Lunar Chronicles) or Alex Flinn (Beastly), the result might be something like Christina Bauer’s Wolves and Roses.." --Blue Ink Review

JOIN THE LAUNCH TOUR: Meet author Christina Bauer, take pics with characters from the book, buy a signed copy and get a free t-shirt!

Seventeen-year-old Bryar Rose has a problem. She’s descended from one of the three magical races—shifters, fairies, or witches. That makes her one of the Magicorum, and Magicorum always follow a fairy tale life template. In Bryar’s case, that template should be Sleeping Beauty.

“Should” being the key word.

Trouble is, Bryar is nowhere near the sleeping beauty life template. Not even close. She doesn’t like birds or woodland creatures. She can’t sing. And she certainly can’t stand Prince Philpot, the so-called “His Highness of Hedge Funds” that her aunties want her to marry. Even worse, Bryar’s having recurring dreams of a bad boy hottie and is obsessed with finding papyri from ancient Egypt. What’s up with that?

All Bryar wants is to attend a regular high school with normal humans and forget all about shifters, fairies, witches, and the curse that Colonel Mallory the Magnificent placed on her. And she might be able to do just that--if only she can just keep her head down until her eighteenth birthday when the spell that’s ruined her life goes buh-bye.

But that plan gets turned upside down when Bryar Rose meets Knox, the bad boy who’s literally from her dreams. Knox is a powerful werewolf, and his presence in her life changes everything, and not just because he makes her knees turn into Jell-O. If Bryar can’t figure out who—or what—she really is, it might cost both her and Knox their lives… as well as jeopardize the very nature of magic itself.
